Style essentials: In the nude

I've always had a thing for blazers. Whether for work or play, they never fail to hit the spot. They're just so versatile, stylish and put together. Plus they're pretty much an essential in Britain's unpredictable weather...

I first fell in love with blazers when I was about thirteen; I think Lauren Conrad must have been to blame. What started out as a fleeting enthusiasm (and a burning desire to star on The Hills) soon turned into a long standing love affair with tailoring that I just can't seem to shake...

From tweeds to silks; sleeveless to longline, over the years my collection has grown. But as the warmer months start to creep in (I use the words 'warmer' loosely) it's time to trade my monotone offering in for something a little lighter...

And after much searching, I think I've finally found the perfect fit. I spotted this blazer on ASOS and instantly fell in love. I have to admit nude pink isn't my usual style, but the boxy silhouette sold it for me.

I'll be wearing mine with some high waisted mom jeans, a lace cami and these fringed shoes courtesy of New Look.
