The art of dressing

In England the sun never shines for too long; blink and you've missed it. Unlike the style mavens of Spain and France, easing ourselves nonchalantly into the summer months is not an option; we've got to grab it while we can.

On a recent trip to London, I was lucky enough to catch a few hours of sunshine, before the rain swooped in and washed away any hopes of alfresco dining and picnics in the park. But, with the prospect of summer in the city came a lot of questions. Is it warm enough for shorts? Where on earth did I put my other espadrille? Do I look like 2 Chainz in these sunglasses?

In the end, I opted for a classic combination. The art of layering. Here I'm wearing this season's smart short, a  white tee, suede espadrilles and my favourite Topshop blazer.

Now that's out the way, where did I put those sunglasses?
