You'll see them on every roof terrace, summer barbecue and garden party this summer. The same completely Instagrammable, wish list addable dress that have caught your eye all summer.
The ones you instantly fell in love with and quickly resolves to resist after realising that everyone else was already adding to their baskets.
But with all the obvious options otherwise engaged, it was feel like there's little else to choose from. For me, I like to play the system at its own game and choose a dress that could be completely at home at a garden party in the seventies, a roof terrace in the nineties or at your friend's barbecue a week from home. Something classic.
But there are plenty of other options too. Try a classic white shirt tucked into palazzo pants so wide they could double up as your very own wind machine. Try a brightly coloured two-piece and, if you can, match it to the house cocktail. Try a fail-safe denim jumpsuit and team it with the most obnoxious straw bag you can find.
