Taking a minute for myself

Spoiler alert: Life in London is fast. Week days are spent chasing myself up and down the Northern line as I try to squeeze in work, gym, blogging and a much needed glass of wine with friends.

I’m not complaining, I absolutely love it, but by the time the weekend comes, I’m ready to chill out and catch up on all the things I didn’t have time to visit, see or do during the working week.

So, when Ben went out for a boy’s night, I decided it was time for a pamper. There were face masks, body oils and even some stray toe separators I found at the back of my wardrobe (the glam life lives on), which when you string together constitutes as it’s very own pamper routine. Here’s the inside scoop…

In the wardrobe

There’s nothing like kicking off your skinny jeans at the end of the day and slipping into your pjs. Am I right, or am I right? My favourite at the moment are these ASOS pyjamas. I love them.

In the shower
When I’m feeling fancy, I like to use Sanctuary Spa 2 Day Long Lasting Moisture Shower Oil.  The idea is to smoosh it all over your body as soon as you get in the shower and then leave it on while you do your thing. It makes your whole bathroom smell amazing and my skin always feels glorious too.

On my body
I’m hopeless at remembering to moisturise my skin in the morning and as a consequence, I really suffer with dry skin on my legs and arms. I decided to treat myself to some amazing smelling new products, in the hope that they’ll remind me to add in that extra step in the mornings. You know what? It’s actually working.

On my face
I rarely mix up my skincare routine. I have really sensitive skin, so finding products that aren't going to push it over the edge is really important. I cleanse with Olay Refreshing Facial Cleansing Gel, tone with Kiehl's Ultra Facial Toner and moisturise with Natural Moisturising Factors + HA.
