A flick through my ASOS wishlist

Controversial, but I quite like January.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not about to start making a foot long resolution list or embarking on Veganuary (although, that's great if you are), but I do enjoy the idea of a fresh start and the luxury of a whole new year ahead of me. But in the interests of balance, and we all know how important that is after Christmas, there's one thing I struggle with in January too - trying to reign in the pennies after a particularly spendy festive season. There's the temptation of the January sales and of course the time old excuse of treat yo' self.

Apart from two sneaky purchases that we'll pretend didn't happen (case in point being the coat I'm wearing in these pictures), I've been doing quite well and, in the interests of staying on track I thought I'd talk you through some of my favourite things currently sitting in my ASOS wishlist in the hope that they won't accidentally slip into my shopping basket.

Rope chain necklace - ASOS
I've got a real thing for coin necklaces at the moment, so it's no surprise that this rope chain necklace has ended up on my wishlist.  They're an easy way to polish off simple outfits and make things feel a little more fan-say. I'd wear mine with a smart wool coat, cosy jumper and pointed ankle boots.

Polka dot wrap skirt - ASOS
I don't usually love wearing skirts, but this one has got me feeling all of the heart eye emojis. It's so cute. Add a fitted jumper and a pair of cosy tights and you're sorted for winter, or some Stan Smiths and a white t-shirt for an easy summer look.

C'est La Vie sweatshirt - Whistles @ ASOS
With the majority of my wardrobe consisting of varying shades of black, navy and grey, this sweatshirt might seem a little off-piste, but I'm OBSESSED. I love the contrast between the red and white and feel like this would look amazing paired with some dark wash jeans and a pair of Stan Smith trainers.

Polka dot dress - Missguided @ ASOS
One of the areas that are really lacking in my wardrobe is those smart/casual pieces you can throw on for work/ a few drinks/ a casual house party and still feel amazing.
I'm feeling a little bored of my usual skinny jeans and blazer combinations, so thought this spotty dress from Missguided would be the perfect alternative.

Heeled Chelsea boots - River Island @ ASOS
I had a pair of these boots a few years ago and LOVED THEM. They were comfortable, easy to wear and were the perfect heel height. The original pair are now in my mum's garage covered in green paint after I misjudged quite how messy a community DIY day would actually be, but the fact they're cropped up on my wishlist again says it all. I'm going to need another pair of these in my life.
