The October love list

A run down of my favourites from the month...

Today is my 24th birthday. As you're reading this, I'll be out and about in London. In fact at this very moment, I'll probably be taking full advantage of my birthday princess status. Poor Ben - I promise I'll let him stop for regular breaks...

November is officially my favourite month and not just because it's my birthday. There's Bonfire Night, cosy evenings in and the run up to Christmas - what's not to like? But this year, November also signals the end of a very busy few weeks.

October has been a month of two halves. The first half was a little bit chaotic - a mismatch of events, travel and birthdays, By the end of the first week, I was already dreaming of my dressing gown and slippers every time I left the house.

Thankfully, things calmed down eventually and I managed to take a little bit of time to just relax. It's safe to say I spent my time wisely - snuggled up on the couch, drinking all of the tea and getting reacquainted with my slippers - ultimate grandma goals.

It might have been a busy one, but October was also a special one. I got to celebrate Ben's birthday, spend some time with my lovely family and find a new lease of motivation. There are some really exciting things in the pipeline and I can't wait to share them with you! In the meantime, here's my October love list...

Ate: Dishoom
If you're a Londer, then Dishoom probably isn't the most groundbreaking recommendation out there - but it's definitely a good one.

I took Ben for his birthday and we had the best time. Dishoom is inspired by the old Irani cafes of Bombay. The majority of the menu is small plates to share, although there are some main meal options for those who, like Joey, don't share food. This kind of eating is my favourite. I love sharing my food - tasting things for the first time, deciding what we like and working our way through our order together.

This time, we ordered Keema Pau, Chicken Ruby, Masala Prawns and lamb kebabs - followed by a glass of wine and a chilli chocolate pudding. If you're heading to London soon, I'd definitely recommend. The Shoreditch branch is my favourite.

Style: All things pink

My rose tinted glasses are out for autumn. This season, I'm completely obsessed with all things pink. Sugary knits, bright pink shoes and fushia trousers. I love it all.

More than a few pieces have already worked their way into my wardrobe and my wish list is building.  Next on my list is this knitted skirt from River Island. I'm obsessed. I'll be wearing mine with a blush pink knit and my favourite pointed ankle boots
ALL. OF. THE. HEART. EYE. EMOJIS.

Bronzer has never been at the top of my list when it comes to make up - which is strange for a girl who loves having a tan. I've always struggled to get on board with the idea - they've always felt too cakey, too orange, too... well fake.

Last month, I discovered a product that's completely changed the game. Enter the L'oreal Paris Glam Bronze Cushion Soleil Bronzer. It's a cushion formula, so it's really easy to apply, can be sheered out in a few strokes and leaves a subtle golden sheen on the skin. It's perfect.

I'm wearing...

Listen: Hey, It's Ok!

I've been listening to the Glamour podcast since the very beginning and it's one of my favourites. I've had to stop myself listening to it on the tube to work after catching myself creepily giggling along too many times. My favourite episodes are with Fleur De Force, Jenna Coleman, Sophie Kinsella and Jameela Jamil.

Watch: Gaga - Five Foot Two

I've never been a huge Gaga fan, so I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did.
The documentary, available on Netflix, follows her as the records, releases and promotes her fifth studio album, Joanne.

I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but it was definitely a surprising watch. I didn't expect her to be so down to earth. She's got an amazing work ethic and her determination was really inspiring. She's such a girl boss.
